Coastal Cafe
Situated on the South Coast in Dorset, Drift café aimed to establish a hub in the local area for outdoor enthusiasts. The design ethos prioritised the use of recycled materials and textures and colours inspired by nature.
The design approach ensured that the space promoted social interaction while also catering to those who desired personal space. Banquette seating was incorporated, allowing tables to be arranged to create larger or smaller spaces in between.
The use of natural and upcycled materials and décor not only contributed to environmental sustainability but also reduced costs.
Maintaining an open eye-level space created an impression of spaciousness and luminosity in the café. To create a smooth flow of movement throughout the space, round tables were utilised to guide customers.
