Modern Family Home
A four-bedroom home in Dorset underwent a redesign, featuring a rear and side extension and reconfigured ground and first floor layouts.
Due to rising building costs, the design was adapted during construction to reduce expenses. This involved incorporating some of the client’s existing furniture alongside new feature pieces to strike a balance between cost and quality.
The client sought a design that would stand the test of time, remain budget friendly, and require minimal maintenance as they approached their later years. To achieve this, a neutral colour palette was utilised for permanent fixtures, such as the kitchen, while pops of colour and texture were introduced through decorative items and wall finishes that can be easily replaced to keep up with changing trends.
